Lisa Bjerke

Lisa Bjerke, MSLP, R.SLP S-LP (C)

Lisa is a speech-language pathologist with over twenty years of clinical experience. She graduated from the University of Alberta in 1987 with an undergraduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology with distinction. Lisa then worked in various settings including schools, hospitals and health centres before returning to university for her Master’s degree. Lisa obtained her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 1997 from the University of Alberta.

Lisa is the Director of Optima Communication Inc. and the Accent on Canadian English Training Program. She is the author of Accent on Canadian English- 2nd Ed: a pronunciation program for speakers of English as a second language and Accent on Canadian English- Pronunciation Assessment Kit (ACE PAK).
Lisa is a consultant and trainer in the area of pronunciation improvement and clear communication in corporate, educational, and private settings. She is a recognized expert in the field of Canadian accent assessment and modification. Lisa facilitates “Train the Trainer” workshops across Canada.
